Hi! I’m David.

Printmaking—for me—combines all of my favorite artistic applications: drawing, carving, and mixing colors. 

Like many of my artistic colleagues, I embrace the physicality of creating with my hands. By printing my carvings by hand—and not a press—I use my body to create a piece from start to finish.

In my pieces, one can see the slight imperfections that make each print unique. These elements mimic the variations in nature, which is my constant inspiration for subject matter. The landscapes of California will always find their way on my carving blocks.
